Product reviewed: Arden Grange Adult: rich in lamb & rice

This product is a good hypoallergenic dog food.

It is naturally preserved (with mixed tocopherals and rosemary) and free of artificial colours, flavourings and preservatives. Free of GM ingredients.

It has added Chondroitin Sulphate, Glucosamine Sulphate which are very beneficial for joints. (good for older dogs).

I think the meat content could be a little misleading as it states lamb meal 30%. However the product is "rich in lamb & rice" which would indicate 14% lamb. My conclusion is that the 30% lamb must be in its wet state before it's been cooked. Moisture is lost during the cooking process so the amount in the final product is less.

I've read different things on maize as a cereal ingredient. Maize is another name for corn and some people think this isn't very digestible. The jury is out!

Apart from these two slight concerns, this is a good product that includes "friendly" bacteria.

This product is manufactured in the UK.
